Second tranche of work for blue-chip UK based manufacturer for sourcing production equipment and improving productivity.

Southern Manufacturing Show 2012 is Booked!

 

Automa8 has booked its place at Southern Manufacturing, 15th & 16th February 2012 at Farnborough. Located in the main arena at V49, we look forward to meeting both existing contacts and new. A new project is being undertaken looking at the introduction of an automated assembly process for a new project. The sales projections through to 2020 mean a number of process steps will be needed to meet the rising demand, both cost-effectively and as simply as possible. This is an exciting project with a blue chip manufacturer in the UK.

Phase IV of an ongoing project management role is now in progress, following the successful installation and operation of the system, bought in under budget. The focus is now on development of the consumables, their processing and application within the system.

Process engineering and automation consultancy for a real-time PCR based diagnostic system developer. Role to include assistance in development of robust design and suitability for automation scale-up of key components. DFA and DFM facilitation.

MEDTEC / Machine Build 2010 Report

 

The exhibition at the NEC went very well, with an excellent number of quality enquiries, which are currently being followed up. We had many positive comments about the stand design and we hope the name of Automa8 will become a more recognisable 'brand' in the marketplace in due course.

Phase III of an on-going project management role has been set in motion, providing management of the crucial development and prototyping of a high volume production system (following on from phase II below). We are working with suppliers to provide proof of principal of the key processes prior to phase IV, to follow.

Programme management for a medical moulding business, providing a range of services to promote good design and production processes prior to scale-up. This ongoing role provides valuable additional resource with specialist mangament and automation knowledge. Product development, DFA, DFM, dFMEA and fixture design services.

Phase II of a high-volume assembly system, providing additional detail for processes suited to this specific and critical process. Evaluation of both processes and suppliers, with demonstrations, trials and samples to build knowledge prior to further investment. [Energy sector; 3 month project]

Phase I initial process evaluation and assessment of risks for ongoing investment in a highly automated production process. Using our wealth of knowledge of many systems and integration experience to provide clear, unambiguous guidance to build the project upon.
